Saturday9: Twist And Shout

Twist and Shout

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

1) In the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Ferris climbs up on a parade float and enthusiastically lip synchs this song, encouraging the entire crowd to join in. Do you know the lyrics of "Twist and Shout" well enough to sing along? (Watch the impossibly young Matthew Broderick as Ferris here.)
Yes

2) What other Beatles' song do you know all the words to?
All My Loving

3) 49 years after their American debut, The Beatles are acknowledged as having a lasting impact on both music and culture. What performers on today's music scene do you think will be remembered 50 years from now?
I don't care for her but, I would say Madonna

4) Paul McCartney is an enthusiastic advocate of the vegetarian lifestyle. Could you/have you tried to "go veggie?"
I havn't tried, I don't think I could cause my favorite food is chicken

5) As a young boy, Ringo Starr suffered a severe attack of appendicitis and almost died. Do you still have your appendix? What about your tonsils?
I still have my appendix. Had my tonsils out when I was about 11

6) John Lennon sketched and doodled when he was bored or nervous. Do you have any nervous habit?
If I'm sitting and nervous my knee shakes or bounce up and down

7) George Harrison loved Hawaii so much he bought a 63-acre estate in Maui. Have you ever visited our 50th state?
No

8) Yoko Ono was a polarizing character in the Beatles' saga. Has any of your friends ever dated/married someone you just could not stand?
Yes, My best friend Diane's First husband

9) Paul has had dogs his entire adult life, including a sheepdog, Martha, and a black lab, Jet. John was especially fond of a cat named Elvis and a tomcat he found in the snow and named Tim. Tell us about one of your pets.
I have two Boston Terriers. Mother / Daughter......

Princess {sitting} 8 1/2 yrs old...Her name was Sophie but when we got her at two yrs old, She would never come to us, never even looked at us when we would yell "Sophie". After having her a week I called her Princess, She must have liked it from the start cause she ran right to me.
Princess is calm, loves playing with rope toys and a volley ball and loves to play catch with a rope ball.
When she sleeps, she likes being under a blanket.
She loves laying out in the sun, she won't leave the porch unless someone is with her. Have a hard time getting her to go out when it's raining or snowing.
Loves car rides...If she sees a car door open she likes she can go.

Angel {laying}, 5 yrs old. No, she is nothing like her name!!!! Angel is very hyper! She's the exployer, you leave her out you got to have eyes in the back of your head! You open the door shes outside before you.
She loves jumping in the frog pond to try and catch a frog.
She loves playing with any toy that she can take off Princess except the volley ball, she has no intrest in it.
She always have to be touching someone. I might be the fault of that cause I was always holding from the day she was born.
You pick up your keys she think she has to go. She loves to sit up in the back window when going for a ride, cause sh's nosey!!
When she sleeps she needs a pillow and blanket or shes bugging you all night.
When I leave the house, You don't know what we will come home to. She gets mad when I leave and she will tear something up that belongs to Hubby, even if I leave and Hubby still here.
Yup, Angel is our little Devil.

Princess and Angel are very protective of me, specially if a guy comes around that they don't know.
Sorry about going on and on about them but, they are my babies!

  1. Our answers are so similar! I, too, named Madonna, even though I can't stand her, and singled out All My Loving. How cool that you have two loyal dogs standing guard over you.

  2. I love that you love your dogs so much. I have trouble getting my dogs to go out after a thunderstorm. They are afraid for a very long time and they have connected thunder and rain so I have to carry them out or have them on a leash when it rains. They would hold it forever, if I didn't force the issue.
