White Wine Pasta Sauce


*Make sure you give yourself about 3 hours priop to making dinner to start this. It has to sit on the stove and reduce*

4 Tbsps of Flour
4 Tbsps Butter

1/2 tsp Pepper {more if you like}
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder

32 oz Chicken broth
64 oz White Wine {Chardonney}
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tbsp of Balsamic Vinegar


*You can use fresh herbs or dry herbs*

FRESH                                   OR                               DRY

1 C. Basil                                                               1 Tbsp Basil
1/2 C. Oregano                                                     1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
1/4 C. Lime Basil                                                  1 Tsp Oregano
1/4 C. Parsley                                                       1Tbsp Parsley

In a big pot, over medium heat melt butter and the flour with a wisk. This will make a paste you want to cook this paste for 1 minute until you smell a little nutty smell.
Then dd the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder. Slowly by 1/4 cups add the chicken stock. When all incorporated it will look like a smoother but runny paste. Then add the white wine the same way. You must add this very slowly or it will clump up and you will have chunkies in the sauce. Then when you have all the winein add the lemon juice, sugar, balsamic vingar and any dry herbs at this time.
If you are using fresh herbs wait until the end because fresh herbs are as potant as dry. You want to bring this mixture to a rolling boil without a lid, and then turn it down to medium to simmer. you will need to simmer this roughly 2 hours. But, basically you want it to reduce by half. This gives it that concentrated flavor. If you are using fresh herbs go ahead and add them in the 2 nd hour to let simmer. Taste it. Sometimes you can add more garlic powder, onion powder, or more {other spices in your cupboard}.
Remember sauce will be runny but should be flavorful. If you want to thicken it from last time increase the flour and butter by 2 Tbsp each.
Stir it every so often. NO LID! Not having the lid on lets the mixture reduce

In the USA a few weeks ago a guy had beaten up and raped his girlfriend, for which he got 70 days of community service. He had been found guilty, got a year and a half of jail, BUT can you guess why his sentence was reduced to mere community service?

He had a steady job. That's right. He was found less guilty, because he had a long-term steady job.

1 C. Mayonnaise
1 C. Sour Cream
1 TBSP Onion Flakes
1 TSP Parsley Flakes
2 TSP Season Salt
1 TSP Accent
1/2 TSP Worcetershire

Mix all ingredients. Use with Veggies.

This Week's prompt: Switch

This is soooo funny the word would be SWITCH today. My husband and I was just talking last night about how his mother would make him and his brothers and sisters go pick out there own switch when they need punished. Hubby said the first time he had to pick a switch he picked a real skinny one which he said he learned that was a mistake cause they hurt the worse.

Then I remember years ago when I worked at the nursing home one of the residents would get out and when we would go out to get him, he would grab a switch and come after us with it. First time I was ever hit with a switch.

It's dim in here so I had to switch on the light.
I was allergic to fabric softner Downy so instead of buying to different ones or me going without, I switched fabric softner.

Right now I have to get the TV remote so I can switch the channel.

911 is still sensative to some people after all these years, I know I am.  Some wasn't even sensative at all.
I remember when it happened the next day, Alan Jackson song "Where Was You" came on the radio and I was at work as a cashier a lady came through my line and she remarked "I don't know why people is making such a big deal". Yup I was taken in the office for my response!

Why do you think you saw these shapes as these colors?
Triangle = red because triangles are strong shapes {architecurally speaking} and strength is associated with warm colors to me.
Square = baby pink because squares strike me as comforting, safe shapes and baby pink is a very safe color.
Circle = light blue because circles are the "lazy" shape and laxiness is associated with the cool colors for me.

Ironic, is Irony. It means when one opportunity can only be complete by one more ingrediant, but the last ingrediant comes too late.

Example:
If you had a cake mix but neede a mixer but didn't have one to use, so you gave away your cake mix. Then, the next day, someone buys you a mixer. Thats Ironic

Well, it takes light approximately 8 1/2 minutes for light to get from the sun to the earth...light travels at lije 186,000 miles per second {I can't remember the exact speed}, so that means the sun is about 94,000,000 miles away from earth, or something like that. UGLY CAKE


1 Box Yellow Cake Mix
1 Package Cream Cheese {8 oz}
1 Stick Butter
1 Pound Powder Sugar


Mix cake mix according to package directions. Pour into well greased {NO FLOUR} 9 x 13 pan.
Mix Cream Cheese, Butter and Powder Sugar together. Spoon over cake batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes. Turn our while hot and spread scaping over cake.

Yes And Yes....Certain level compassion is innate.....Some people are naturally compassion while others have to learn compassion

3. Do you prefer to watch romantic comedy or romantic drama...or are you rolling your eyes saying bring on the action flicks?
Bring on the Horror

4. It's April which means baseball season is officially upon us here in the US of A. Humphrey Bogart is quoted as saying "A hot dog at the ballgame beats roast beef at the Ritz." Agree or Disagree?
To me a hot dog at the ballgame beats roast beef at the Ritz, I never had roast beef at the Ritz.....Then again I don't like roast beef

Our grandson John had a lazy day yesterday. He wasn't interested in a bottle feeding. He'd suck on ot for a bit then spit out the milk, so most of his feedings were by the tube. He did gain 36 grams, which isn't a lot but still something.
